Back on Track Manchester

A Greater Manchester charity that enables people to make positive changes that last
  • Health and Wellbeing

95% said that taking part had helped them feel more connected to people.

PWCF supported Back on Track Manchester through a small grant in October 2021. With our funding, the charity runs a variety of activities targeted at vulnerable people such as walking groups, wellbeing courses and working in nature.

40 people who took part in the activities were surveyed by Back on Track Manchester. 95% said that taking part had helped them feel more connected to people. One person who joined the walking group said

‘It helped me get me out of the flat and not be scared, I enjoyed meeting people and making new friends.’

Thus far, 54 people have benefited from the activities, participating in two wellbeing courses between January and March, a walking course, a mindfulness course, and trips out to Castlefield, Manchester Jewish Museum, Chorlton Water Park, Salford Quays and Manchester Art Gallery.

Through this programme of activities, beneficiaries have met new people, learned new things and reduced feelings of loneliness and isolation, improving confidence.
