Our large grants support organisations across our six funding themes working around the globe.
Applications are by invitation only.
Strategic partnerships
This funding programme was launched in January 2023 and provides multi-year unrestricted funding to charities across the environment and social inclusion funding themes.
We are particularly interested in funding work that is not currently well-supported by other bodies or which creates exemplar projects for others to copy and spread. We want our funding to provide the catalyst for leveraging further funds.
Our current strategic partners are Plantlife International, Practical Action, The Wildlife Trusts, Age Scotland, Carers Trust, BIGKID Foundation and Omega, the National Association for End of Life Care.
These charities were selected by Trustees for their enormously important work in the areas of environmental sustainability and social inclusion, both subjects close to The King’s heart.
The Fund’s strategic funding partnerships are awarded through a closed grants programme.
Major grants
For many years, the Fund has provided major grants to a diverse range of organisations working across the UK and internationally on various projects.
This includes The Prince’s Trust and The Prince’s Foundation, who we support with annual core grants.
We would also like to thank the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery for their support, which enables us to award major grants to six charities.
This grant programme is not open for applications at present.
