KCCF is proud to announce £1.65 million in new strategic partnership grants to six organisations working to transform lives and build sustainable communities in the UK and internationally. These multi year grants will support vital work protecting marine ecosystems, promoting nature-friendly farming, and improving outcomes for children and young people.

Nikki Jeffery, Executive Director of KCCF, said:

We’re thrilled to launch these strategic funding partnerships, backing exceptional organisations that are driving nature’s recovery and supporting young people to thrive. Together, we can scale solutions that protect our environment, strengthen communities and create meaningful, lasting change.

Seagrass

Project Seagrass

This pioneering charity is dedicated to halting and reversing the decline of seagrass meadows – biodiversity hotspots essential for fisheries, climate regulation, water quality and coastal protection. The UK has lost 90% of its seagrass in the past century.

This strategic partnership will support us in delivering lasting recovery for the UK’s seagrass meadows – scaling restoration, strengthening protection, and improving the conditions these vital habitats need to thrive. By combining science, policy and community action, we hope to secure measurable gains in seagrass extent, condition and resilience, ensuring these ecosystems are restored and safeguarded in the long term for people and planet.

– Dr Leanne Cullen-Unsworth, CEO, Project Seagrass

Zoological Society of London (ZSL)

We are also supporting ZSL’s international and UK marine protection and restoration efforts.

In Mozambique, funding will help protect and restore vital mangrove habitats at risk of being lost, addressing key drivers of habitat degradation whilst also supporting community leadership and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

In the UK, we will support ZSL’s Transforming the Thames programme – an ambitious initiative to re-establish the estuary as a thriving coastal wetland for wildlife and local communities.

Farmer and produce

Real Farming Trust

We are also proud to partner with the Real Farming Trust towards their mission of transforming our food system from the grassroots up.

Our grant will help strengthen the Trust’s influential platforms, including the Oxford Real Farming Conference, and the Agroecology Communications Network, to connect practitioners, share essential knowledge and inspire wide audiences. The Trust also provides social investment, grants and mentoring to small agroecological enterprises – supporting businesses that produce healthy, sustainable food for local communities.

Nature-Friendly Farming Network (NFFN)

A grant to Nature-Friendly Farming Network will support the UK’s largest farmer-led movement advocating for sustainable farming approaches. At a time of significant economic uncertainty for farmers, this funding will help ensure farmers perspectives meaningfully shape policy and practice across all four UK nations.

With His Majesty’s passion for farming in harmony with the environment, the Nature Friendly Farming Network is thrilled to partner with King Charles III Charitable Fund. This strategic collaboration will support more farmers across the UK to transition to nature-friendly practices, boosting biodiversity while producing food sustainably, profitably and with greater resilience to a changing climate.

Young people and rainbow

Jamie’s Farm

Finally, we are pleased to support Jamie’s Farm, which helps young people facing significant challenges to rediscover confidence, build healthier relationships and develop positive habits to improve their wellbeing and build a hopeful sense of purpose. Jamie’s Farm works with more than 2,400 young people and 130 schools and youth organisations annually through transformative residential placements on seven regenerative farms across the UK,

We are absolutely thrilled to become a strategic partner of the King Charles III Charitable Fund. This support will be transformative for the young people who come to Jamie’s Farm, giving us the confidence and clarity to plan ambitiously and reach those who need us most. At a time when so many children face deep challenges both in and out of school, this partnership enables us to offer a place of belonging, purpose and possibility. We are deeply grateful for the Fund’s belief in our work and excited for the lasting impact this collaboration will make.

KHULA Education

In KwaZulu-Natal, KCCF funding will help expand KHULA’s highly effective programmes across early childhood development, primary and secondary education, teacher training and post-school pathways, benefitting more than 13,000 young people every year.

This partnership will have a profound and lasting impact on the communities we serve in rural South Africa, strengthening education at every stage and ensuring young people have the foundation to shape their own futures. We are deeply grateful for this support and the trust placed in KHULA.
