Support the communities efforts to restore the village mill
- Heritage Conservation
Conservation of a mill dating back to 1252.
A community-based organisation focused on restoring and developing Aberdaron’s historic grade II water mill, which dates from 1252, Melin Daron Cyf plans to restore this important community asset for educational, tourism and heritage purposes.
Their vision is for school-children to grind locally grown corn into flour and bake bread in the adjacent Islwyn Bakeri the same day and for visitors to share this experience.
Architects have been appointed and they hope to begin conservation work soon.
