Business in the Community (PPL)

The charity has supported more than 13,000 job seekers from disadvantaged groups.
Thanks to the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, we have supported Business in the Community (BITC) for a number of years, helping job seekers to improve their skills and wellbeing and secure jobs with support from a volunteer job coach.
BITC has a long and successful track-record of delivering business-led programmes that have supported over 13,000 job seekers from disadvantaged groups. An independent evaluation of BITC’s employment programmes by the University of Dusseldorf showed that participants with a job coach were 3.7 times more likely to secure a job than those without.
To support those people most impacted by the cost of living crisis, BITC is providing job coaching to help job seekers (including long term unemployed, people experiencing homelessness, refugees and those in low-paid, insecure work) to improve their skills and well-being, helping them prepare for new employment opportunities, with the aim of supporting 1,000 people each year to improve their skills and well-being in order to secure new jobs.
